e-beam

Wesbeam's e-beam is Australian-made LVL engineered for stick roof construction. It's available in a variety of sizes and lengths for even greater versatility.

e-beam's strength-to-weight ratio is much higher than regular timber which means you need less material and can cover longer spans. It also means a faster, more economical job.

And, as you'd expect, it's much lighter than steel. So there's no waiting for cranes to turn up on site.

e-beam is made to exceed Australian standards from plantation timber - a renewable and sustainable resource.

Engineered for reliability.

e-beam performs consistently and reliably. Its 9% coefficient of variation means its behaviour is more predictable than traditional timber products.

This makes it easier to work with and reduces the builder's exposure to future maintenance problems.

Stronger beams go further.

e-beam has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than timber, so you need less e-beam than traditional timber to do the same job.

This can reduce raw material costs and speed up construction, saving you time and labour.

Easier to work with.

e-beam is up to 50% lighter than the equivalent piece of hardwood, so it's easier and safer to work with. This also reduces the need for mechanical lifting, which in turn speeds up the construction process.

More versatile.

e-beam is available in longer lengths than timber, creating more opportunities at the design and specification stages of a project.

More choice.

e-beam is available in a range of thicknesses including 35mm to 75mm with depths from 90mm to 450mm.
