The Western Sydney Airport Visitors Centre, also known as the International Experience Centre, is an immersive, digital exhibition providing a visual display of how the new airport will take shape. The perfect experience for community groups, school excursions and anyone interested in watching the airport come to life by 2026.  

To complement the world-class airport, the centre will tell the story of the region and its people, why the airport is being built and the many benefits Australia’s first smart airport will deliver to the community including, better road and rail connections and numerous opportunities for jobs.

Floor to ceiling glass walls provide a direct view of the construction underway, in which you will be able to see the inclusion of Wesbeam LVL beams and columns. 

The LVL beams are 600mm x 126mm and 600mm x 189mm, some over 11m long and the LVL columns are 200mm x 126mm and 200mm x 200mm. Both the beams and columns were prefabricated by XLam using Wesbeam e-slab [architectural]. 

e-slab architectural is mass or solid panel timber elements that provide the architect, engineer and prefabricator with a range of new structural and visual possibilities. e-slab architectural is suitable for use in a range of applications. the perfect engineered wood products for use in the manufacture of prefabricated structural wall panels, floor slabs and large format columns and beams.

Xlam also supplied the CLT roof slabs that are supported by the LVL.
