Installation & Maintenance

With the e-beam2  specification system, it takes just 3 quick steps to select the right beams for any job.

Step 1

Calculate the Width of Roof (WOR) applied to the roof beam using the method illustrated on page 39 of the e-beam2 span table brochure.

Step 2

Ask yourself, is the roofing material metal sheet or tile?

Step 3

Ask yourself, does the beam require a splay cut greater than 2/3’s of its depth?

No - use the e-beam tables on pages 3 and 4 of the e-beam2 span table brochure.

Yes - use the e-splay tables on pages 5 and 6 for single splay or pages 7 and 8 for double splay of e-beam2 span table brochure.

General: How to handle and store you Wesbeam Laminated Veneer Lumber products.

  1. Wesbeam Laminated Veneer Lumber should be stored well clear of the ground on level bearers spaced at maximum 1800mm centres

  2. It should be covered to keep dry but still allowing for ventilation

  3. Avoid placing LVL over areas susceptible to ponding.
