Wesbeam, Australia’s leading manufacturer of engineered wood products, today announced that Giles Everest has commenced as Chief Executive Officer this week, following the company’s CEO appointment announcement made last year.
Mr Everest said he was drawn to Wesbeam’s strong platform of quality, reliability and national reach, and the opportunity to lead a respected Australian manufacturer into its next phase of disciplined growth.

Wesbeam operates a fully integrated manufacturing facility supported by secure plantation supply, producing Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) and LVL I-Joists for customers nationwide. Mr Everest said what sets Wesbeam apart is the consistency of its product, the strength of its technical expertise and the quality of its customer relationships.
Mr Everest acknowledged the contribution of outgoing CEO James Malone, who retired after leading the business through significant growth and capability development.
“James and the team have built strong foundations,” Mr Everest said. “My focus is on respecting that legacy while helping the organisation continue to evolve, execute and perform.”
